What Will Your Family Robot Do Today?

We have another fantastic collage today. This time our artist is Raphael. Tomorrow, it will be Theia. I flipped a coin and Raphael got to go first.

Today, you are going to try to code a human at home. Find a family member who would like to be a robot today. Please remind your robot that they should only respond to very specific commands and they can only say “please repeat” or “do not understand”. Try not to get too frustrated, it is a really difficult job to code a robot. Some of you found out how hard it is to code a human when you tried to get me to eat a banana in our class meeting yesterday. Thanks to all of you who were brave enough to give it a try in our meeting.

Today’s storytime book is called Weslandia. It was written by Paul Fleischman and illustrated by Kevin Hawkes. It is about a character who is very creative just like you. I am looking forward to your examples of how you are creative in your Core Competency Assessment today. Have a great day!
