Whales

Last week, I read the news about killer whales that swam into the Burrard Inlet as far as Burnaby. It made me think about our walks in the Mystery Forest and about our stopping point where we look out at the water and see the bridge. I started to wonder what it would have been like if we had been on a nature walk and looked out to see whales swimming in the water. Wouldn’t that have been exciting?! I will miss our Nature School walk today. One of the hardest things about being safe right now is not being able to go outside and play in our usual ways. I know that is hard for all of you because you love to be outside. I also know that each of you is doing an amazing thing right now by keeping safe, listening to your family, and doing some great work at home. Take a look at this article with your family. It includes a short video that shows the whales. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/killer-whales-indian-arm-1.5513870
