    All About Animals

    Today’s activities have a bit of an animal theme. In Drama, you can play animal charades and in P.E., you are going to practice all of your animal walks. Don’t forget to get down nice and low for that duck walk. As you are doing these activities, I want you to think about an animal that you would like study so that you can learn more. Tomorrow, you are going to start an animal project in themes.

    Jelly Bean Math

      Hello Division 8 and Families, I hope that you had a great weekend. It is another beautiful, sunny day for Nature School so you can try an Alphabet Scavenger Hunt today.     Happy Birthday Naseeb!

    Today is a special day because it is Naseeb’s Birthday! I know that the Division 8 Students would love to be together today to see Naseeb in her birthday sunglasses and to sing her Happy Birthday. We hope you have a great birthday with your family Naseeb.

    Puppets

      Here is a picture of the fantastic puppets that you made for the ‘Can Shapes be Kind?’ geometry puppet show. Today, you are going make puppets in drama and use them in language arts.     Whales

    Last week, I read the news about killer whales that swam into the Burrard Inlet as far as Burnaby. It made me think about our walks in the Mystery Forest and about our stopping point where we look out at the water and see the bridge. I started to wonder what it would have been like if we had been on a nature walk and looked out to see whales swimming in the water. Wouldn’t that have been exciting?! I will miss our Nature School walk today. One of the hardest things about being safe right now is not being able to go outside and play in our usual ways.…

    Splat!

    I hope that everyone had a good weekend and that you were able to enjoy the sunshine and dry weather in some way. Today in math, you are going to be working on subtraction using splat.
