02/09/22 – Math Fractions Review
Fraction Review from today.
02/08/22 – Math – Comparing and Ordering Fractions 2
We continued ordering and comparing fractions, this time with different numerators and denominators.
02/07/22 – Math – Comparing and Ordering Fractions
Today we visualized fractions and used visuals to help us determine which fractions are larger, equal, and smaller.
Please continue to use drawings to help you determine the order of fractions. We learned that:
- If the numerators are the same, then the smaller the denominator, the larger the fraction is. See sample below.
- Even though the denominator of one third (3) is smaller than the other denominator (4), it is bigger than the other fraction because it is split into fewer parts.
Here’s what we worked on today:
02/03/22 – Math – Equivalent Fractions Continued.
We continued practicing our ability to find equivalent fractions today. See yesterday’s post HERE.
02/02/22 – Math – Equivalent Fractions
We began working on equivalent fractions today. Equivalent fractions are the same amount, cut/divided into more / fewer shapes.
02/01/2022 – Math – Final Fractions of a Set Practice
Super important to be familiar with this before we move onto more complicated fractions (equivalent fractions) that uses multiplication, division, and all our knowledge about fractions.
01/31/22 – Math – Additional Fractions in a Set Practice
01/27/22 – Math – Fractions of a Set continued.
We continued working with Fractions as a set. We found it incredibly useful to draw everything out to help with our thinking.
