11/29/21 – Science – Digestive System Parts and Organs
Today we researched the different parts of the digestive system. You don’t need to be perfect with the order but try to follow the order below:

11/29/21 – ELA Reading
We worked on summarizing our picture book into a condensed single paragraph. Please have it done and edited by Wednesday.
Criteria:
- At least 5 sentences long
- Does it include the author and the illustrator’s name?
- Does the summary describe the “gist” of the story?
Sample of the picture book we read last week: Miss Bindergarten Stays Home From Kindergarten.
11/23/21 – ELA Writing – Continuing with our Snowperson Instructional Writing
Due next Tuesday, November 30.
- We took our individual how to build a snowperson steps and combined them into a paragraph.
- The expectation for next Tuesday is that you combine these sentences into a paragraph on a lined sheet of paper. Make sure to follow paragraph form.
- Indent the first sentence.
- Make sure to check for grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Fix these and make your as free from errors as possible.

We will be swapping our work with someone else to peer edit next week.
11/22/21 – ELA Reading – Connecting to what you are OKAY at
We read a book about being okay at variety of activities. We discussed things that we are OKAY at. Afterwards, we wrote a little about why we are okay at our chosen thing. We emphasized writing with proper letter casing, grammar, and punctuation.

11/19/21 – French – How to say the date + months + numbers 16-31
We started by learning the numbers 16 – 31, giving us all the numbers needed to successfully tell someone today’s date.
Afterwards, we learned the months of the year.
Finally, we put all that we’ve learned together and began forming simple phrases that tell us the date.

Open in new tab 11/10/21 – Math – Multiplying 2 digits by 2 digits
We have been introduced to 2 different ways to multiply 2 by 2 digit numbers. Some of us are familiar with method 1: cross-multiplying and others have found method 2: using expanded form more helpful.
Use whichever strategy works best for you! This lesson should be challenging. Great work keeping up so far! We will continue working towards this on Monday.

11/08/21 – Science – Exploring the heart in our circulatory system
We discussed all of our body systems and learned that they are all important to our survival.
We began exploring the circulatory system and learned that our heart is the key organ in this system. We did some exercise and tracked our heart’s beats per minute and learned that exercise keeps our heart pumping healthy blood around our body.
