Monday June 15

Hello everybody,

Here’s the schedule for the week. This begins the 2nd last week that we will be spending with each other this school year =( Please see your learning opportunities for today below:

I will be at school teaching today and therefore, I will be responding to questions a bit slower than usual.

Revisit your core competency PowerPoint and make it look great! Please proofread, add backgrounds, and add transitions if you know how to. (Sam – and probably many of you know how to add great transitions so you can ask him if you need help). Make it look great!

For science, continue working on your PowerPoint. My suggestion for pacing is to work on the animals and their adaptations slide. If you are finished, great! Work on something else. Click here to find some extension activities. If you know any great activities online, let me know through email and I might add it to the list!

For math, both grades will have the same lesson on Math IXL. You will be working at the grade 5 level, doing lesson X3 – Reflections, rotations and translations.

  • Reflection means reflecting from a line: visit here to play with some reflections.
  • Rotation means turning the shape from a point
  • Translation means sliding or moving the shape
  • Watch this cheesy YouTube video tutorial: https://youtu.be/0Z1aUhGCZs0
  • This lesson can be a little bit tricky. It’s normal to not get all of it. I’m just challenging you a bit.

Find your lesson on Math IXL.

Continue working on French on Duolingo!
