Lessons for April 27 – May 1

Cher parents,

It was wonderful seeing everyone on Friday’s Zoom Class!! It was so nice to hear about everything you have been doing! This week, we will have Mme. Jenny joining us for our Friday zoom class! She is excited to see you all and she will begin planning some lessons for you 🙂

THIS WEEK (April 27 May 1) 
Language  Calendrier, letter de la semaine, printing « Y », Letter poem, Chantons and journal  
Play  Kindergarten students need amples amount of free play. Its how they do their best learning. See here for ideas on what play looks like in a Kindergarten classroom. We typically designate 1 hour per day.  
Art  Bee Hive, optional rock art activity  
Math/Science   Bees and plants

LUNDI: PROFESSIONAL DAY- Teachers will be meeting as a staff. There will be no instructional activities today.

We received feedback that it would be helpful to have a video of how to pronounce the words on the list. Here is a short video of the pronunciations. My helper makes another appearance!

What new words did we learn from the poem? What other words start with “Y”  that I learned this week ? 
Math  Chasse au trésor 

I created a scavenger hunt to practice identifying shapes and to notice how many can be found outside! 

 Upload a picture of your completed scavenger hunt. 

What was the hardest shape to find? What shape did I see the most of? Are there other shapes I found that were not on the list?

All living things have a life cycle and all living things are connected. What do you know about life cycles? Feel free to send Mme. Marando a video sharing what you know!
