Tuesday, May 19th

Good morning Division 9! I hope you had a wonderful long weekend!

MORNING MESSAGE with Ms. Chan and Ms. Vesa

ASSIGNMENT #1 – WRITING ROBERT MUNSCH STORIES – today and tomorrow

Today we will begin to write our Robert Munsch stories.  We are now in the DRAFT stage of the writing process. You should have both of your planning sheets to look at so you can remember your characters, setting, every day event, silly event, repetition and silly sounds. You can write your draft on this Beginning Middle End sheet (unfortunately it might not have enough lines though) or you can write on your own piece of paper. Remember to write with many details and include description of what is happening for each part of the story.

ASSIGNMENT #2 – MATH

Perimeter is the distance around the outside of a 2D or two dimensional shape with straight sides such as a square, triangle or rectangle.  Perimeter is found by adding together the length of all the sides.

Watch this Perimeter video on Khan Academy and do this Perimeter Worksheet. Remember to ONLY count around the outside of the shape NOT all of the squares!
