“Being Smart & Staying Healthy”

Instructions:

  1. Read all the Healthy vs. Unhealthy choices.
  2. Put a “√” if you think the choice is healthy
  3. Put a “X” if you think the choice is unhealthy
  4. Colour the pictures
  5. Challenge: create your own list with a family member.
    Write out a few healthy and unhealthy choices and put an “X” or a “check mark” to indicate which one they are!

Writing Activity #4

“To Stay Physically Healthy”

Instructions: 

Tell me about 1-2 things you will do to stay physically healthy during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Important:
** We will share our healthy choices worksheet at our next zoom meeting **

  1. Try your best to write a complete sentence
    Example: To stay physically healthy I will: “go for a walk with my mom everyday”.
    Or “I will eat fruits and vegetables”.
    Or “I will put on music and dance with my baby brother”.
  1. Draw a picture of yourself doing your healthy choice.
    Remember: try to add detail to your picture
  1. Colour your picture
    Remember: to practice staying in the lines, and colouring beautifully (use different colours, light soft strokes)

 

* Note: If students do not feel comfortable to write complete sentences – please have them try to sound out two words that explain their favorite choice*

Example: To stay physically healthy I will: “run” “ride bike” etc.

“Time Capsule”

Instructions:

  1. Please spend some time with your child to look through this booklet and fill out the pages.
  2. Please Note: You do not have to complete each page. Do the ones you like!
  3. Please Note: Students may need help with some of the pages: Students are welcome to work through the booklet on their own, but some pages may require parent support.
  4. Write your name on the title page.
  5. Colour the pictures in the booklet.
  6. Work on one page at a time. This booklet has 11 pages, and a lot of different questions and ideas. Take your time!
