Story Sharing #4

Hi Division 10! You all heard me read the story “The Pigeon Wants a Puppy” by Mo Willems at our last “Zoom” meeting.

I have read the story again, so you can hear the story one more time to remember some of the details.

Please listen to the story and answer the questions below.

Click here to watch the video

  1. What 3 things does Pigeon say he wants to do with a puppy?
  2. When Pigeon sees the dog, he gets scared and changes his mind about wanting a puppy. List 6 things that Pigeon does not like about the dog.
  3. A) What is an animal that you would like to have as a pet?
    B) What would you name your pet?
    C) List 3 things you would do to take care of your pet?
    D) Draw a picture of your “pet”! Don’t forget to colour your drawing!

Example:
A) I would like to have a gold fish as a pet.

B) I would name my pet gold fish “Goldie Bubbles”.

C) I would take care of my fish by feeding it every day.
I would take care of my fish by making sure it has clean water to swim in.
I would take care of my fish by saying “hello” to it every day, so she knows I care about her. 😊
