Activity #7: Spot the Difference!

  1. Look at the pictures below and spot the difference. Once you find them, write a few sentences telling Ms. Yaz about the differences you notice.

    Use one of these sentence structures to help you complete the activity.
    Try to come up with 2-5 sentences 😊

  • “On the left picture, I see _____________, but on the right picture, there is _______________, instead.”
    OR:
  • “There is _______________ on the (right/left side), but there is no ______________ in the other picture.”

 Example:

  • “On the left picture, I see a yellow kite, but on the right picture, there is a red kite, instead.”

 

Activity #2: Word Family “ad”

Instructions:

  1. Write as many words as you can for the Word Family“ad”
    Hint: Think of all the letters of the alphabet A-Z, and see which letters you can use to make a “ad” word.
  2. Write a sentenceusing one of your “ad” words.
  3. Underlineyour “ad” word.
  4. Optional:if you like draw a picture to match the sentence you have written.

Poem #8: “I Am Me”

Instructions:

  1. Read the weekly poem “I Am Me”
  2. Read the poem for a family member
  3. Fill in the missing words
    Hint: the missing words are “I” (used multiple times) and “a” (used multiple times), and “me”
  4. Highlight the rhyming words
  5. Highlight your favourite word
  6. Draw a picture of something that makes you special (think about things that you know how to do!)
  7. Colour your picture

Story Sharing # 3 – Continued

Remember the story “Same Same” by Marthe Jocelyn and Tom Slaughter – We will be using this book again to do more activities!

Listen to Ms.Yaz read the story again – if you need some reminders of ideas from the book!

Activity #2:

  • Think about 3 things that “have four legs”.
  • Draw a picture of the 3 things and label them.
    Hint: Think about things in your house or animals!
  • Think about 3 things that “go” or “move”
    Hint: Be creative! There are lots of things around us that move!
    Think about things in nature and human made things!
  • Draw a picture of the 3 things that that “go” or “move”.
  • Write a sentence to tell Ms. Yaz about something that moves.
    Example: I drive a blue car, it helps me get to many places.
    OR: I like to ride on the skytrain and look out the window at the city.
  • Think about 3 things in water.
  • Draw a picture of the 3 things “in water” and label them.
  • Write a sentence about something “in water”.
    Example: A shark like to swim in ocean.
    OR: A ship travels in the water.
