January Updates

Happy New Year!

We hope you had an enjoyable holiday break with your family!

School re-opens Monday January 6th.

As it takes children a few days to get into a routine, its a good idea to start adjusting bedtime a few days before school begins. I find adjusting bedtime 10 minutes earlier per night will help get them into an earlier bedtime routine.

A few housekeeping notes:

  • Please return any signed report card envelopes that are still home
  • Please send a change of clothing with your child and inside shoes
  • Please return their chantons book

This month we will resume the letter of the week, starting with M. In math, we will explore size and shape. Our theme of the month will be polar animals versus forest animals. We will look at why bears hibernate and polar bears do not. We will explore the winter season and learn French vocabulary related to that. I look forward to some snow for outdoor play with the students.

We welcome back Mme. Jenny every Thursday.

Mme. Mauro will be on maternity leave. We wish her the best as her family prepares for the arrival of her little bundle of joy!

Merci et a bientot!
