Welcome back families!
I had a great time today listening to all the stories from the restful break. Here are some of the things we did before the break:
Pink Shirt Day Promise:
Pink Shirt Day was created to stand-up against bullying in our communities. We read the book Pink is for Boys by Robb Pearlman and had a great discussion about anti-bullying! Each student made a promise to stand up to bullying. Here is our billboard for Pink Shirt Day:
We also created a billboard for our previous Family Day activity! I am so impressed with the progress the students are making with adding great detail to their artworks. I can’t wait for you all to come and see their hard work during Student-Led Conferences in April!
In addition, I want to extend my belated wishes to our families observing the holy month of Ramadan. If there is any way I can support your family during this period, please let me know!
Lastly, we have welcomed two new friends into our class and I am so proud of how responsible and kind the students have been to make our new friends feel welcome.
Love, Ms. Elhalhuli
