What We’ve Been Up To! (December 2, 2022)

Winter is here!

I am so proud of the many students that are able to dress themselves up with all their snow gear. Great job!

Please replace any wet/soiled clothes that are sent home.

Here are some highlights of this week:

This week we learned letters “L” and “F”

We also learned about Body Parts with our ELL teacher Ms. Lee.

We have many art projects that are in progress. Can’t wait to show them to you! So far, we were able to compete our snowflakes with our big buddies to hang in our classroom!

Science/Social Studies:

We completed our Wall of Peace. We talked about peace and how it applies to the 5 senses. In the middle, we have each student’s way of achieving peace in the classroom.

We also introduced the ways animals adapt to winter. We talked about how we wear snowpants, coats, hats, boots, etc. but other animals may have a different method of surviving winter. We read a book about bears and how they hibernate during winter time. We then drew a hibernating bear in our journals.

Have a safe, snow-filled weekend!

  • Hello Ms. E,

Thanks for sharing these interesting activities. Srinithya enjoyed talking of her wall of peace activity, explaining what she drew.

Snowpants boots and coat and hat song is so lovely! Srinithya is singing it over and over again!
