Hello Community of Division 1 and beyond,
We have begun a new and exciting initiative right here on our blog spot to keep everyone up-to-date with what is happening here in the classroom. Each week, a student of division one will write a “Week-at-a-Glance” blog post. It is our hope that our families at home and those who follow us in the community will be able to get a good idea of what the division 1 grade sevens are up to at school.
Each student author’s approach to their segment on our blog spot may look different than the previous post. Our shared authorship and and contributions will hopefully showcase the diversity of perspectives and experiences in our class.

This week in school. . .
Things have been moving on really fast its just 2 more days until the public speaking challenge will start in the class of div 1.
Here is what the presenters on Monday feel, Flex Tape is doesn’t really like the challenge but says he will overcome the challenge. I asked some people about how they would feel when the day came for them to present. First Bella told me that she is feeling all fine but when time comes, she will feel scared and nervous but when the moment passes, she says it will all be ok. But on the other hand, Nevi says that she is swag about her speech. Liz also said that she is frightened and scared when the day comes but like Bella, she says it will pass by. She also says that her speech is ok but she could have added more like 1%. Overall, all the people presenting worked very hard and worked on it for 7 WEEKS!!
Social Studies Update:
The Settlers of Catan game the class has been playing Settlers of Catan and the class has super enjoyed, Even some peoples’ favorite subject.
New things introduced this week:
If you are a parent and you are reading this then you will want to know our class will be doing a passion cover for their learning portfolio, they will be making or drawing
something that they really remembered from their grade 7 school.
Lit Circles:
Lit circle has also been going on with the final available meetings for bookings are on march 2nd.
Science:
In Science this week we have been learning about their habitat and watching a documentary about different flues.
