09/22/22 – ELA Writing – Stage 1: DESIGNING A PRODUCT
This term, we will investigate persuasive writing with a twist. We are going to explore advertisements and commercials.
To begin: Please watch the following advertisements. Notice the differences.
Did you notice any advertisement techniques that made you feel sad? Enthusiastic? In the coming weeks, we will investigate more about these techniques.
In the meantime, it’s time to begin brainstorming and designing your own product. Use the following document to guide your design process.
Criteria:
- Come up with a fun name for your product
- You will eventually make your product out of cardboard and real life materials. Your product must be smaller than the size of a library return bin.
- Your design must have at least 5 features.
