This week we have been working on estimating and measuring classroom objects with different non-standard units of measurements. Here are some pictures from today.

Today in math we sorted, counted, graphed and added heart candies. Each student got their own set, then each table group added their own. The challenge was finding out how many the whole class had in total!

This week we did needle felting! We started the heart project with our big buddies. Needle felting takes time and patience to get the felt into the desired shape and then using the needle to tighten the felt. For most students, this was a new experience or a new way to use felt for crafting. We made hearts and some students also created a second craft of their choice.
