In Science we learned about landforms and bodies of water. We showed our learning by using plasticine to create 3 landforms and 2 bodies of water. Volcanos were by far the most popular!

Another ADST challenge today. After learning about force, motion, and friction a marble run was a great way to wrap up this topic in science. Students had to create a plan, work on building it and make sure the force of gravity was working to get the marble down. Thank you for your cardboard and paper roll contributions, they were much needed! Here are some highlights from today of final products and during building.

This week we used marbles to investigate different kinds of surfaces and how friction affects the speed of how the marble would go. Here are some photos of us during the process.

Today we had an assembly for Remembrance Day. Here are some pictures of our class working on poppy art and on Flanders Fields.

Today we had a visit from the Alpha leadership students and they created some ADST (Applied Design Skills & Technology) challenges for our class. Through ADST activities students have to think about what they are planning to build, work with others, and come up with solutions to solve problems that may happen while building. The leadership students brought toothpicks and marshmallows and had several tasks for our class to create in partners and then in small groups. It was a lot of fun!
