Here are some highlights from Halloween activities at school from yesterday and today!
Month: October 2023
Thank you for joining us today for family reading 🙂 So nice to have our classroom full of people and I will schedule it about once a Month. Here are some pictures from today.
Our class really loved learning the card game garbage! All you need is a deck of cards. Ask your child to teach you or check out the video under our math tab. As we learn new games I will post the links here on the blog.
Here is a peek into our daily 5 stations. Our stations are word work, read to self or listen to reading, and free choice writing. We will be adding a station called read with the teacher soon, once everyone can independently do the other stations. Check out our students working on some of these stations.
We hd fun creating pumpkins at night yesterday. We worked on creating the pumpkins and using oil and chalk pastels. We learned about lighting and blending colours. Here are some photos of students working on them and completed art pieces.
Here are some photos from September and October. We had a lot of fun building and exploring in the classroom together and connecting with new peers since school started. We also got some indoor and outdoor tennis lessons 😊
Leading to thanksgiving we read stories and had conversations about whatever are thankful for. We created a tree of thankfulness with ideas from our class. We also created silly turkeys using oil pastels.
Wishing you a wonderful thanksgiving weekend!
