Lessons on Bullying

Dear Families,

During the coming weeks, the grade 2/3 classes will be participating in a mini-unit on responding to peer conflict, mean behaviour and bullying in schools. The lessons are based upon creating safe and welcoming spaces and will be delivered by the school counsellor.

The mini-unit has four lessons based on:

• responding to and understanding bullying behaviour as opposed to peer conflict and mean behaviour
• managing minor conflict
• intervening when they see another student experiencing bullying (bystander and upstander behaviour)
