  • 1. I don’t know. It was okay.
    2. That I need to work on time and pay attention.
    3. I did most of it last minute. How did I overcome it? I was awake until 11 p.m

  • 1. I enjoyed making my product.
    2. Make more bracelets. Maybe 20 more.
    3. Making my product and selling out so I made pre-orders.

  • 1: I did not enjoy any part of it. I find it not interesting.

2: I learned that you should watch how to make it first before you do it on your own.

3: I had one problem and that problem was when I baked my clay it all melted. I did not overcome it because I have no patience to go buy a new clay. It was midnight when I was baking.

  • 1.I enjoyed selling my product and seeing people buy it.
    2. I learned how hard it is to own a business and how hard people work to accomplish their own business.
    3. The one problem I had was that I sold out pretty quickly. So I had to take pre orders and I had to buy more products to give them it. I over came them by working on them.

  • The Young Entrepreneur project was very exciting for me as I got to work with my friend Nick and making something that I enjoy and seeing people play and ask questions about my product.
I learned quite a lot. I learned to manage my time well, how to manage money better and especially how to be an entrepreneur.
I didn’t have many problems. The biggest one was deciding on the product and getting supplies. Luckily Nick had me covered and at the end–we split the money half way.

    • I am surprised you learned that many skills and I hope you are going to use these skills in your future Donald.

  • Q1- I enjoyed making my product and talking to the customers politely.
Q2- I learned how to start a new cool business and how to keep my business going on.
Q3- I didn’t have enough supplies to make my product. I overcame the problem by buying new supplies from Wicks and Wax.

  • 1. I really enjoyed selling my product (Magnets with Fortnite, and memes on them). The kids really loved my product! Me and another classmate (Max) collaborated he had stickers with basically the same pictures on the stickers.

    2. I learned that being an entrepreneur is pretty difficult to become. You have to know what customers want, the cost to make your product, how much to sell it for, and how to attract customers to your booth.

    3. Well, one problem I had was that I had like 5 magnets left. The crowd had already died down at this point so there was nothing I could really do. :/ Though, I had an idea of just giving them away for free. So, I gave some of my magnets to my classmates siblings and ‘technically’ I sold out.

  • 1. What did you enjoy?
    I enjoyed making my product.
    2. What did you learn?
    How to make lotion.
    3. What was one problem you had? How did you overcome it?
I burnt my fingerprints off. Now I don’t have the tip of my fingerprints.

  • 1. I enjoyed seeing people pick out what they wanted from my stand and buying it because that means they were actually interested in my product.

    2. I learned that it’s hard to make a lot of your product because for me, I had to air dry my clay and it takes about a day and a half for it to dry and I hated that part of making my product because I wanted to paint it as soon as possible.

    3. One problem I had was that I thought I made enough but I didn’t so two days before the market I had to mold the clay and let it dry then I painted it one day before the market.

  • I enjoyed making my product. It was dangerous but fun. I had a few accidents on the way, like melting the mold full of melted crayons inside our new microwave, but I luckily cleaned it all up and nothing serious happened. It was cool to see crayons in their melted form.

I learned that certain crayon colours take more time to melt than others. When I was melting them the silver and some shades of yellow took around 4 minutes to melt, whereas teal and orange melted in just a minute. I also learned that the mold I bought from Ikea was NOT microwave safe the hard way.

One problem I came across was when I didn’t have enough change for Josh’s mom. She gave me a $10 bill but I only had $7 in change. I overcame my problem by borrowing money from Zariina, I paid her back though.

  • 1. What did you enjoy?
The thing I enjoyed the most was selling to customers and seeing their faces once I gave them my product. Another thing I enjoyed was being able to work sort of a business partner with a friend named Khoi. Since we kind of work together I enjoyed selling with him because we had a little fun while selling our product to our customers especially the little kids.
    2. What did you learn?
At the market, I learned how to communicate with people in a way that makes them come back since when people visited my stand a lot of them didn’t have money so, they said they would come back after school and they did.
    3. What was one problem you had? How did you overcome it?
I didn’t really have a problem since everything went smoothly. The reason why I think I didn’t have a problem was that all of the time arrangements fit right into my schedule so I didn’t really have to rush. Another reason why I think it went well was that my product was something that I was not new to since I do origami a lot.

  • 1.What did you enjoy?
The thing that I enjoyed about the Young Entrepreneur fair was helping people during the fair. The reason I say this is because I did not make my product and I got to do something productive. I helped people try to reach their goal for example my friend Matthew. He was selling Bird Feeders and I attracted some customers. I also helped my friend Kristen(or Kiko for short). I helped sell his Bam Bam Bots and got a little lollipop for my help.
    2. What did you learn?
I learned the tips of being a successful entrepreneur from a presentation by Anwar Visram, a parent. I learned how to start a business and how to make profit.

    3. What was one of the problems you had? How did it overcome you?
My problem is that not making the product. The reason for this is because that I got a lower mark for my report card.

    • Hey, at least you helped me with my Product. You did very good at attracting Customer to my Table. Thanks!

    What did you enjoy?
I enjoyed making money. I sold all my products (18 stuffies in total).
    And people still are ordering.

    What did you learn?
Not to save product without knowing their name or set a time limit for how long I save it for them.

What was one problem you had?
People ask me to save their product for them but they NEVER came back to get it.

    How did you overcome it?
I just sold it at the end.

  • 1.What did you enjoy?
I enjoyed the part where people liked my product a.k.a. My classmates, adults, and teachers. I really liked that people said good things about my idea. I also like that the others ideas are very creative. >’=u=’<

    2. What did you learn?
I learned that if you put more effort in what you do, you will have a higher chance of accomplishing your goal.

    3. What was one problem did you have? How did you overcome it?
I didn’t have enough bottles at the first. So my mom and I ask my aunt if they had bottles and they said “yes” and we told her what we will need it for.

  • What I enjoyed getting to sell my product near my friends so we could talk about how much money we were making at the moment and try to communicate with our customers at the same time which didn’t quite bore me as much as I thought the young entrepreneur market would be.
I learned how to make soap and what oils you should add for example essential oils like lavender and another scent called joy which smelled a lot like bubblegum which was my favourite scent.
A problem I had was that I wasn’t getting enough customers which I ended up not overcoming but I have an idea if Ms.Smith was to let us sell our products again I would put the liquid soaps into balloons to sell because I noticed a lot of the kids told me that they were squishy and they kept on playing with my product so I if there is a next time then I would change my products from liquid shower soaps to stress balls.

  • I didn’t enjoy it as much but I did do better than last year which isn’t that much of a bummer. though I had a better idea of what the customers want, I partnered with my friend Laurence who made gamer magnets(I made gamer stickers). This year was a bit better especially since I made a lot of profit.

I learned that sometimes you can succeed with great accomplishment, and other times you can fail and fall down to the ground with no progress or effort; for me I didn’t fall but I succeeded a great value. I got about $20 net profit and I knew for my product that lots of kids like gaming stuff such as Fortnite and Beyblades which can track attention.

My only problem and concerns were what product should I make as well as what stickers would I do if I were to do them. I thought over it and realised that lots of kids like Fortnite and Beyblades so that meant $$$$$$$. I had a concern about where we should put our spot at the gym so kids and parents could see us. eventually, we set upon the middle and faced the entrance.

  • I enjoyed it very much I got to make money and became a young entrepreneur.
I learned how to attract the crowd.

I didn’t make that much money, but I advertised for my product and got more money.

  • 1. What did you enjoy?

    2. What did you learn?

    3. What was one problem you had? How did you overcome it?

    1=making my product.
2=i learned how to sell, and advertise and how to haul costumers, like telling them the interesting things about my product.
3=well I was handing out lollipops to people that buy my robot, but everyone was wanting one. so I hid them.

  • 1. What did you Enjoy?
I didn’t Enjoyed it as much as last years. Last years products including mine, had more choices, like Stress Balls, Grass Heads, and Lava Lamps. I made Flower Pots that comes with free Herb Seeds. It costs $5.00 each, but I made $54.55! I was so happy that I made $54.55, and then after the market, I asked people “How much money did you make?”. Most people made $5.00 or $10.00, then I noticed, I was one of the people who made the most money in the entire market last year! So that’s why I didn’t enjoy it as much as last year.

    2. What did you learn?
I learned that some people can make the easiest things to sell like, Origami and, Key Chains. The Origami students Nick and Khoi made $67.00. But, Jean who made Key Chains made $70.00!

    3. What was one problem you had? How did you overcome it?
The problem I had was that I couldn’t find any Wooden Spoons. I looked everywhere for Wooden Spoons! I almost gave up. Until when me and my Dad went to Metrotown, (to get Chatime) I came across Buck or Two.I looked around Buck or Two and found the most perfect Wooden Spoons! They were the exact size I needed! That’s how I overcome the problem, I didn’t give up.

  • What did you enjoy?

That people noticed my nice jars and decided to get them (most)

    What did you learn?

How to sell and be an young entrepreneur

What was the problem you had? Did you overcome it?

I had time problems because of other things and my ballet rehearsals and classes

  • 1. What Did You Enjoy?
I enjoyed being able to experience what it’s like to be an entrepreneur. The work effort, the successes, the failures, selling your product, producing your product, dealing with customers etc. Although not many people bought my product, I still enjoyed the experience of doing the Power Play Young Entrepreneur. Seeing all the people come to the marketplace made me feel joyful, even though most of them didn’t buy from me. The marketplace was a very enjoyable experience for me.

    2. What Did You Learn?
One key thing I learned was that most kids don’t read signs. I had one sign that was pretty big, but almost all the kids didn’t read the sign and asked, “What’s this?’’ or “What are you selling?” I also had a whiteboard that said, “ Tetris Magnets, ’’ but still people asked me what I was selling. I also learned that kids like to touch things. I started selling with a sign that said “Do not touch unless buying” because the magnets were delicate. Not a lot of people came to my stand, but after I removed the sign, lots of people came and touched the magnets and broke it. I was pretty mad, but I acted like it wasn’t a problem. I learned a lot more about customers and kids from this experience.

    3. What Was One Problem You Had? How Did You Overcome It?
The biggest problem I had was with my first idea. My first idea was crystal geodes. I was going with this idea until I started making the crystal geodes a week before the marketplace date. I was following a tutorial video on how to make crystal geodes. The crystals needed alum powder to be able to stick together and create the crystal. The video says to wait a day for the crystals to grow. I followed the video tutorial and I waited for a day and It wasn’t working; I waited another day, and it still wasn’t working; I panicked. I was in a lot of shock. I wasted a couple of days by doing nothing about the situation. I felt like giving up and not selling anything at all. A few days later, I was searching the internet for ideas and I found an idea that I was contemplating doing in the beginning. I went with this idea and started production on Sunday. I managed to finish all my Tetris magnets in a day and I felt very relieved.

  • What did you enjoy? I enjoyed selling [ PART A]
my product to people, and making my customers happy, excited to use my product

    2. What did you learn? I learned that you can make money, but there will be days that you can make low money. Also people can complement your product and some people will diss your product and will never like it.

    3. What was one problem you had? How did you overcome it? One problem I had was that I was running outta time and I didn’t have enough tape to make it so i had to go run out and get tape and than start making
