All of the Kindergarten students get together 3 times a week for Daily 5. During this time we have been sharing stories and Alphabet books as well as building our reading ‘stamina’ as we read books to ourselves. We have learned that there are three different ways that we can read a book:
- Read and talk about the pictures
- Read the words
- Retell a previously read book
This week we were very excited to begin our Daily 5 Stations. Our current stations are:
- Working on Writing (with whiteboards)
- Listen to Reading (using a storybook app on the iPads)
- Cookie Sheet Alphabet Work (with Magnet letters)
- Read to Self
- Alphabet Printing Work
