Hey, Grade 7s!

A reminder for everyone re: course selection forms:

-Please read through the instructions carefully, and consult with your parent/guardian/important adult when making your selection

-Remember that Math Honours requires an exam, and both Art and English Enriched require teacher recommendations

-Make sure to return these to your classroom teacher by no later than February 21st

Hello, Grade 7s!

A few reminders for this week:

-our Science fair preparations are underway! Please bring any necessary materials to school every day. Our Science Fair presentation date is Feb. 27th

-Burnaby North will be coming to present on course selection this week! Forms will be due back at the end of February.

-Please return your 3 camp forms (white, yellow, blue), signed, to Ms. Ward ASAP

-Bring a Geometry set for Math!

-pancake breakfast is tomorrow! Feel free to wear (weather-appropriate) pajamas if you’d like

-please return your report card envelopes (signed by a parent/guardian)

Hi Grade 7s!

As we enter into our final 2 weeks together before Winter Break, some reminders:

-please return your Math tests (signed) to Ms. Ramen tomorrow

-bring a mug on Thursday for science (not your most valuable, delicate teacup, please!)

-our toy and food drive continues until Dec. 16th. Donate a new, unwrapped toy or non-perishable food by the office!

-practice for our sing-along (Hot Chocolate, Last Christmas)

-Term 1 is now over… please reach out to Ms. Ward regarding any assignments that are owing from the previous Term

-Report cards go out next week

-FSAs were sent home today (these are NOT connected to your report cards or grades)

Hi Grade 7s! A few important reminders for this week:

-Young People’s Concert is taking place this Friday. Our bus leaves by 9:00AM. Please arrive to school on time or early! Any students who are late should check in at the office to be assigned as a leader to a primary classroom.

-Band will still take place on Friday, but in the afternoon instead

-Treat sales continue each Wednesday. Help raise some money for your dinner and dance!

-Please complete your Term 1 surveys on Teams ASAP

-Clay part 2 will be happening on December 5th. Dress appropriately (the glaze can stain clothing)

Out of My Mind film versus novel sheets are due Friday

Skull Sculpting: Blending Art & History

Did you know that some historians have found evidence that sculpture as an art form has been around since 25000 BCE? Today, we had the privilege of learning the fundamentals of clay and sculpture from our artist in residence. Our classes began creating a clay model of hominid species of their choice. Later, we will glaze them and reflect on our experience. Take a look at some of our progress photos below:
