These wishes were written on rainbow coloured strips of paper and attached to their cloud.

Students wrote messages of “kindness” in preparation for Pink Shirt Day which will be next week (Wednesday, February 23rd).
Goldilocks … Naughty or Nice?!?
We started looking at some fairy tales with Goldilocks and the Three Bears. One of our activities was to make a “wanted” poster for Goldilocks.

Who says, “Giraffes Can’t Dance” …
We read the above-named book, by Giles Andreae and had a discussion on how we can all do things to the sound of our own music. Students then followed a directed drawing lesson creating their own unique ‘Geralds’ on yellow construction paper. They decorated their blue background paper, cut out, and mounted their giraffes, adding a string tail. These are on the bulletin board in our hallway.
Pink Shirt Day
We had great discussions on differences, enjoyed this story, and made pink t-shirts with excellent sayings on them. They have been hanging in our windows.
100’s Day Fun
Directed Drawing – Dragons
On Tuesdays each week we have a directed drawing lesson. As it will be Lunar New Year this coming Friday, our lesson this Tuesday was a dragon.
The students did such a great job that they needed to be on display! They are on the bulletin board in the hallway between our classroom and the Office.
