In February, our class learned about self-affirmations. We discussed how hard it can be to remember all of our wonderful, positive qualities when we are feeling down. On Valentine’s Day we didn’t write Valentine’s Day cards for others, we wrote them for ourselves. Students put their self-affirmations on the front of their lockers, or inside their lockers, as a positive reminder to see every day.
Self-affirmations are “I am ” statements, such as I am peaceful.
While we are unable to be together as community right now, it is important to me that students remember that it is important to believe their self-affirmations, and remember that I believe them, too.
