MusicPlay Online is a subscription service for K-6 music that is designed for teachers but is student-friendly and easy to use. During the COVID-19 outbreak they are offering free subscriptions. For each grade level there are lots and lots of songs, and for each song there is a great selection of learning resources. I HIGHLY recommend this site for all K-6 students!!

Term 3 beginner activities for BAND
Here are three activities that can be done from home:
- Practice every song or exercise we’ve recently covered in the Essential Elements book. See if you have a favourite song or exercise and practice it until you can play it by memory without looking at the book.
- Take three of the songs or exercises from earlier on in the book that we learned a long time ago. Make your own versions of the songs/exercises by changing things like rhythm, dynamics, articulation (e.g. staccato, accented notes) and the order of note pitches?
- Can you compose your own short song using your instrument?
