“The Giving Tree”
This month, while exploring the theme of gratitude, students in Division 2 read the story, The Giving Tree: A Retelling of a Traditional Metis Story. We discussed the artistic elements used by the artist, Leah Dorion. Students then created their own “Giving Tree” art, using similar elements and symbols.
