I, learned that global warming was killing half of  the fish in the ocean.did you know that  starfish can come in different kinds they can come slimy and rough did you know that you can eat jellyfish row or not row but did you know that jellyfish can still sting you when they are dead.

Should We Eat Seals?

I’m a bit confused because it’s part of some peoples food chain for people that live in Antarctica.  These people can’t go to the grocery store to buy food so they hunt the seals.

I think for me I don’t want to eat seals,  because I’m thinking of how cute they are and it probably doesn’t taste good.  I also feel bad for the seals because some people do not care about killing these cute animal they only care about their food.

I think we should leave the seals alone and let them live because they could become extinct.

My Reflection on the AquaVan…

I really liked when they showed us animals (E.G Sea anemone, Sea urchins, and a crab shell but with no one inside!!) which was cool, but I really want more animals next year.

a lovely Sea Urchin in the water

Next, They showed us animal body parts From a crab shell to a Killer Whale’s Jaw, also saw a small bottle with garbage from to middle of the Pacific Ocean, which was really sad because that one tiny bottle contained a lot of garbage so image like, 1,000,000 of those bottles, so that would a huge amount of garbage.

Waste on beach

(By the way this was on a beach)

In conclusion I just wanted to say that we need to act fast to save to ocean, because it will help us for the more years to come.

Should we serve seals??

Should we be serving seals in restaurants?

This blog is about if we should serve seals, this idea came after a restaurant called Edible Canada (Edible Canada) is serving seals and a lot of people are saying “We shouldn’t serve seals” or “Seals should be served Because” So our Teacher wanted to see if we should serve seals or Not.

Well this is what I think, I think we should serve seals because they are a good source of protein, Vitamin B12 and iron can be met with 40 grams of seal meat.

And also the Canadian Government allows it!!! The Government allows about 400,000 seals a YEAR! But we currently have harvested about 36,000 Seals, So if the Government allows it (since he’s like the most popular person in the world) it means we can eat seals.

So that`s why i think it`s okay to serve seals (Harp Seals) in restaurants.

Should Animals Be Kept In Captivity?

I think keeping animals in captivity is a really horrible thing to do because they shouldn’t be in like little exhibits they should be roaming in the wild. Also most animals that are released from the zoo usually don’t survive. Another thing I learned was most animals are taken away from there families and put in the zoo. Would you like to be taken from your family? Why are we able to take animals from there own family. It’s technically kidnapping. So why should zoo’s exist.

So let me know what side your taking leave a comment.

AquaVan Reflection

On Feb 7 are school got to see and learn about some animals. It was really fun to see some new sea creatures at are school. So here are my reflection about the AquaVan.

So I have a lot of things to say about this event, first of all it was funny to see my friend delina get grossed out by the sea creatures(don’t forget to check out her blog). Also it was cool that we got to touch most of the sea creatures. The people that worked there were really nice too. They taught us a lot about the ocean and all that stuff. Some of the creature looked really weird and creepy such as the sea anemone.

Anemone, Sea Life, Sea, Ocean, Water So that is my reflection about the AquaVan.
