Hello Families of Division 11,

Here are some things to note:

Razkids

Razkids is finally up and running. Letters on how to access your child's account will be sent home in their planners tomorrow. Razkids is an online reading program that is a great resource to use at home with your child. This will encourage them to practice their reading skills and develop a habit of reading every day. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Spirit Week Dec 13 -17

Monday: Sports Gear Day and DROP EVERYTHING AND DANCE

Monday December 13 kicks off spirit week! Our first day is wearing winter sport gear for school spirit! This can include hockey jerseys, earmuffs, figure skating gear, or any sportswear. Additionally, students are going to DROP EVERYTHING AND DANCE where students will be dancing at random periods in the day!

Tuesday: Mismatched Clothing Day and SING-ALONG

On Tuesday December 14, students are invited to wear mismatched socks, shoes, or earrings as a fun way to dress up on the last week of school before the break! In addition, there will be songs played on the announcements or on Zoom for us to sing-along to. This will be a wonderful theme day!

Wednesday: Winter Wear Day and DROP EVERYTHING AND READ

On Wednesday December 15, it will be winter wear day, so please bring and wear some festive winter accessories, such as a hat, scarf, or mittens! Also, please bring a book as we will have a DROP EVERYTHING AND READ activity.

Thursday: Holiday Colours Day and HOLIDAY POEMS

On Thursday, all students are invited to wear holiday colours such as red, green, or white with gold tinsels. As a fun activity, we will also be writing holiday/winter poems! Come prepared with some rhymes!

Friday: Pajama Day and SCHOOL WIDE BINGO

On Friday December 17, we will be having a Pajama Day! We invite you to come to school wearing their PJs. If you would like, you may bring your stuffies as well. Finally, we will be doing a school wide bingo. This is the last day of school before the winter break, enjoy your time off!

Thank you,

Ms. Diep

Hello Families of Division 11,

Here are some things to note for December:

December 13 -17 Spirit Week

The Grade 6/7 student leadership group will be planning various theme days and activities leading up to the winter break. More information will be sent home in the coming weeks.

December 17 - Last Day

We will be celebrating the winter break by having a small class party. Students can bring an individual treat to eat while watching a movie.

Students will be bringing home any extra clothing bags left at school to be replenished or cleaned during the break. Please have your child bring their bag of extra clothes back to school on January 4.

December 20 - January 3 Winter break

The school will be closed for the winter break. I hope everyone enjoys their holiday!

Thank you,
