Week of May 25-29

Now that you have learned Tony Chestnut last week, watch this video and follow the movement.
Notice the body parts that the lady is pointing/touching according to the sound of the lyrics.
For example,
For “To-ny,” she touches her toes and knees.

Week of May 19-22.

Learn and sing Tony Chestnut.
Lyrics:

Tony Chestnut knows I love you.

Tony knows. Tony knows.

Tony Chestnut knows I love you.

That’s what Tony knows.

Tony Chestnut knows I love you.

Tony knows. Tony knows.

Tony Chestnut knows I love you.

That’s what Tony knows.

Tony, Tony,

And his sister Eileen,

And Eileen loves Neil, and Neil loves Pat,

But Pat still loves Bob.

Then there’s Russell and Skip.

This song is silly, but it’s hip.

How it ends, just one man knows.

And guess what?

It’s Tony Chestnut.

Week of May 11-15

Week of May 11-15.
This week’s musical activity is Mirroring. Mirroring basically requires two people, one taking the role of a mover and the other person is the mirror. The mover must move slowly while the mirroring person copies off the mover’s movement. If the mover does not move slowly, the mirroring person would have a hard time following it. The Mirroring.mp4 is shorter than the the YouTube video below and it shows a stick man being the mover. Nonetheless, move slowly to get to the stick man’s position. Try mirroring with a family member. Have another person watch and figure out who is being the mover and the mirror. If the mover moves too quickly, the mirror would not be able to move in time, and the observer will easily figure out who is who. The music is set to Johann Sebastian Bach’s Air on a G String.
If you could send me a picture of your mirroring movement to mark.yang@burnabyschools.ca, I will put a sticker on your face for privacy share it here. Feel free to click Comments to make some comments.

Week of May 4-8

Here is the lyrics:

Tell me friend

Where can I go?

I need a place where dreams can grow

Where I am seen

For who I am

And everyone’s respected.

Cameron, Cameron

Why don’t you come to Cameron?

You’ll be seen for who you are!

And everyone

Everyone’s respected.

Tell me friend

Where can I go?

I need a place where dreams can grow

Where I can know

That I belong

And everyone’s accepted.

Cameron, Cameron

Why don’t you come to Cameron

You can know

That you belong

And everyone

Everyone’s accepted!

If you come to Cameron my friend

You’ll discover kindness without end.

You’ll discover learning and achievement

And laughter all around.

And laughter all around.

C-A-M-E-R-O-N (Clap)

Tell me friend

Where can I go?

I need a place where dreams can grow

Where I am seen

For who I am

And everyone’s respected.

Cameron, Cameron

Why don’t you come to Cameron?

Cameron, Cameron

That’s where the dream begins.
