Week of April 28-May 1
These are two songs that are paired together: Boom-Dee-Ah-Da & I love the City Life.
I knew “Boom-Dee-Ah-Da” but I learned “I love the City Life” from Mrs. Seminara at Chaffey-Burke Elementary when I was teaching there last year. I took a video recording of her last June and I just got her permission to share her video with you to teach the songs. Here are the instructions:
  1. Click https://web.microsoftstream.com/video/828daf4d-c3a5-4eba-aa31-0bcba195000d
    2. Under “Details,” click “See more” to view the lyrics.
    3. Play the video and learn to sing the two songs.
    4. Once you are able to sing the songs by memory, watch Mrs. Seminara’s action and learn it.

Cameron Song

Hello parents of kindergarten students!
I would like to ask you to read my message and the lyrics to the song at least once to your child.
Thank you.

Hello Kindergarten!
We have our school song. The song is much longer than other songs I used to teach you before the break. I would like you to listen and learn the song. If learning is too hard, don’t worry; just familiarize yourself to the song.

Here is the lyrics:

Tell me friend

Where can I go?

I need a place where dreams can grow

Where I am seen

For who I am

And everyone’s respected.

Cameron, Cameron

Why don’t you come to Cameron?

You’ll be seen for who you are!

And everyone

Everyone’s respected.

Tell me friend

Where can I go?

I need a place where dreams can grow

Where I can know

That I belong

And everyone’s accepted.

Cameron, Cameron

Why don’t you come to Cameron

You can know

That you belong

And everyone

Everyone’s accepted!

If you come to Cameron my friend

You’ll discover kindness without end.

You’ll discover learning and achievement

And laughter all around.

And laughter all around.

C-A-M-E-R-O-N (Clap)

Tell me friend

Where can I go?

I need a place where dreams can grow

Where I am seen

For who I am

And everyone’s respected.

Cameron, Cameron

Why don’t you come to Cameron?

Cameron, Cameron

That’s where the dream begins.

Hello Cameron!

Hello Cameron Elementary,

In the midst of this school lockdown due to Covid 19, some classes are on Teams. For the other classes that are not on Team, I am going to post your music learning here.

I hope to see you at school as soon as this is over.
