Still Life – “Pommes” – in the style of Paul Cezanne

We read a story by Laurence Anholt called, “Cezanne and the Apple Boy” and learned a bit about Paul Cezanne’s life.  Students then used oil pastels to re-create one of his paintings through a directed drawing lesson.

The Caterpillars arrived 🐛

We have 32 caterpillars in their own little cup homes and 6 in their travel home = 38

Every Colour Has Value

As part of our study of the Elements of Art, we have been looking at ’value’ – lightness and darkness.

We experimented with our watercolour pallets and finger-painted some amazing pictures.

St. Patrick’s Day Rainbow 🌈 Wishes

Students made a list of six wishes they would ask for from a leprechaun, should they be lucky enough to catch one …

These wishes were written on rainbow coloured strips of paper and attached to their cloud.
