Math Art – Circles & Polygons (x3)

Math Art – Circles & Polygons

Guidelines

Use a letter size white sheet of paper.

Draw at least three (can be more) large circles arranged so they overlap. They must cover most of the space. Use a compass or trace round objects.

Use a protractor to help you divide each circle into equal parts. Use those parts to create regular polygons (triangle, square, pentagon, etc.)

Darken (fineline) all lines. Colour all shapes created so that the same colours do not touch. Create patterns. Use colours that create a nice overall effect.

Criteria:

  • Lines and shapes are neat and carefully finished
  • Shapes are coloured carefully
  • Arrangement of shapes and colour choice creates good overall effect
