My new class!

class

Hi Everyone,

It’s so wonderful to finally meet my new class.  We have been quickly getting to know each other and many of my classroom routines have been introduced.  I am very happy to see the children showing so much enthusiasm in class.  I can already tell it will be another super year.

Boys & girls, I can’t wait for you to receive your blog usernames and passwords.  Once you receive them you will be able to post comments.  Our class blog is a fantastic way for us to share what you have been doing in school.

Once you are able to log on please share your comments about : what you are excited about this year and anything you thought was fun to do or interesting to learn in class so far.   schoo

Hi Boys & Girls,

It’s been a while since I have posted on our blog.  I’ve been having technical difficulties and wasn’t able to upload some new photos from our class.  Looks like it is working again.  Here are some photos of you working with your buddies on an Easter activity.  I know your little buddies really enjoy spending time with you!

Student Led Conferences

Dear  Parents,

I hope you all enjoyed conferencing with your child.  I know they had so much to show you and tell you.  It was very unfortunate that I could not be there to welcome you to our class and to watch the children share their work. (I am at home with bronchitis, an awful cough and chest infection.)  Hopefully, you learned a lot from them and can see how hard they are working.  Thank you so much for attending and being part of your child’s learning.  Please feel free to post a comment about your meeting with your child.

Thank You,

Ms. Gabas

Halloween Assembly

Boys and Girls!  You did a fantastic job singing our “Halloweenized” version of the French greeting song, Zim Zam Zoum!  Here is a video taken at the assembly by a parent.   It was very cool!  Also, thank you to all who sent treats for Div. 4  to share  during the movie.  It was a great day and the kids were super excited to go trick or treating after school.

Thanks,

Ms. Gabas

P.S. if we get more photos/videos I will continue to post them.

Ciao!

Ciao, Noah!

Hope you, your mom, and dad landed safely in Italy and that you are having a wonderful time.  I am sure the students will want to ask you about your trip, so hopefully, you will be able  to respond at some point in your journey. Take lots of photos and keep a journal!

Take Care,

Ms. Gabas

A Busy March!

Hi Everyone,

Div. 5 did an outstanding job hosting the March assembly with their buddies, Div. 12.  It was wonderful to see many of you there…I know it isn’t always possible.  I am hoping to get some pictures from parents and any video of the two performances: the street jazz dance to “Pump up the Jam” (old school) and the Reader’s Theatre. All the kids were a little nervous, but you couldn’t even tell.  They performed both perfectly, with great expression, and with smiles on their faces!  Later, we celebrated with some tasty Cosmic popsicles.  What a happy day!  You rock, Div. 5! : )
