Division 5 is showing tremendous enthusiasm about learning French. Already, my students have shown such great progress with their pronunciation and learning common greetings and asking common questions. For practice, I have asked students to ask these questions in French even when it is not French time:
Can I go to the washroom/toilet?
Can I sharpen my pencil?
Can I go to the fountain?
Can I have a tissue?
I am very impressed with how they are all remembering to do this!
My goal is to have them build a large vocabulary, so that they can speak, read, and write sentences in French. I believe that songs are a great tool for helping people learn a new language, so I will post as many songs as I can throughout the year so that students can practice.
I really enjoy French. I first thought it was hard but it is pretty easy! I love French. Thank you Miss Gabas!!!
