Many families have started booking time slots for the Parents as Partners meetings on Oct. 6th and 7th. Don’t forget to do so as soon as possible in order to get a time that will work for you. If you can’t make it work with what is available, please reach out and I am happy to set something up to meet your needs.

I have attached the form that I will fill out during our conversation.  You DO NOT need to fill it out. I will do that while we are talking. This is just a suggestion/guide of what I usually like to cover, but we can discuss whatever you feel is important about your child. Feel free to discuss these ideas with your child before hand in order to include their thoughts during our conversation.

As you may know, your child as received their student planner. We use planners as a tool to help keep organized, stay on track with our work and as a communication method between school and home. I would like to ask that parents try to look and sign the planner every night to be in the know of what happens day to day in the classroom. Students are asked to write down all the work and place a check mark beside what they have completed. There will also be important reminders about what is happening in our class and at Montecito.

And you may have also had a chance to see your childs’ new ‘homework folder’. Yesterday they received a plastic folder to put work in for safe keeping as it travels back and forth. This way students will not have to pack their binder if they have homework.

All grade 7 Band students have a virtual band meeting on Zoom Tuesday September 28th @ 7:00pm. Mark your calendars.

If you are not able to attend due to previous commitments, the meeting will be recorded to view at a more convenient time.
