Novel Study

The class is divided into groups and required to read a set number of chapters each week and complete a weekly reading page. It is important that each group member follows through with their reading and their work to be able to participate in the weekly book talks.

Expectations:

1. Read assigned pages/chapters. This is usually assigned every Wednesday. Students are responsible for reading during class time and at home, at their own pace.
2. Complete weekly reading page which includes summary of what was read, making connections, strongest image and predictions. This sheet is due on Wednesday to help facilitate the book talks.
3. Complete one alternate ‘job’ sheet also due on Wednesday.
