Literacy

Writing: Continue taking notes about your animal for your research project and start filling in the pages.  Or create an instruction How To book! Think of something you know or decide on a topic to investigate online. Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/) is a great place to learn things. [Make sure you ask your parents first.]

  • On a piece of paper, write your instructions. Make them clear so that anyone who picks up your book will be able to learn.
  • Add diagrams or pictures to help others understand your instructions.
  • If you have access to a computer, you can use any software to publish. (Examples might be Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, iMovie, or even a drawing app.)

Reading: Go to the Raz-Kids or Epic Books free websites and read a book about the animal you have chosen to research or

Math: Go to the Khan Academy website and try the questions I’ve assigned to you on multiplication and the commutative property or the new ones I’ve assigned for this week.

DPA: Got to Go Noodle or Youtube and teach someone in your house how to dance to Pop See Ko 2.0.

those things helped you to understand the topic.Reading: Go to Raz-Kids, Epic Books or one of the other websites suggested in your Animal Research project and continue reading and researching about your animal or Listen to a piece of music – describe how the music makes you feel. List your feelings. Tell a family member or friend why you love the piece. Maybe they’ll listen to it.  Go to Mr. TDs’s Website lucastds.com and check out his weekly music activity if you are looking for music.Writing: Create a 4 to 6-frame comic strip based on a topic of choice.
Draw pictures and use speech and thought bubbles to show what
the characters are saying and thinking.

Math: Go to Khan Academy or ABC ya math and try an activity of your choosing about multiplication. Or try to figure out this problem:  Olivia’s dog had 10 puppies. Olivia bought 2 beds for the puppies to share. At night, Olivia checked on the puppies while they were sleeping. How many puppies could Olivia have seen on each bed? Show all the ways the 10 puppies could share 2 beds. Is there a way that they can have the same amount?
