Our Community Garden!

Dear families,

We had a seed class with Ms. Barb from Sprouting Chefs! Each student had the opportunity to plant a seed in our community garden!

Our class would like to tell you about it:

We planted wildflowers and spinach in our garden! Our seeds need water, air, sun, and soil. We need to wait a long time so they can grow. They take 38 days to grow! We have to be patient. We can sing to them and talk to them because it gives them carbon dioxide to grow. When you sing to the plants, the air from your mouth gets to the plants.

We saw a yellow tulip growing in the garden near the fence. We saw some bugs: ants and earthworms! We heard a seagull, we saw a crow.

We need to give our seeds love.

  1. Aurele was telling me so much things that Ms Barb explained during your gardening session. Looks like I need to reach out to her to help grow my garden ! Well done kids ! Looking forward to seeing the garden blooming !

    1. So great to hear that Aurele was eager to share his learning with you! We are lucky to have Barb’s support to help keep our garden going at Windsor each year. We are looking forward to watching everything grow too! 🙂
