- Exploring, observing and recording natural and artificial sources of light and sound (sun vs. light bulbs, rain vs. car horn)
- Exploring life cycles & behavioural adaptations of local animals
- Observing structural features, and needs of a plant

- Light and sound can be produced and their properties can be changed
We will learn:
- specific properties of materials allow us to use them in different ways (three states of matter and their properties)
- natural and artificial sources of light and sound
- properties of light and sound depend on their source and the objects with which they interact

Living things have features tand behaviours which help them survive in their environment.
We will learn:
- classification of living and non-living thing
- Structural features of living things in the local environment
- Behavioural adaptations of animals (e.g. hibernation, nesting, migration, etc,)
