Here is the booklist for our Independent Novel Reading Program:
BOOKLIST: alphabetical using the title of the novel
BOOKLIST: by grade level
BOOKLIST: by points
Reading Levels Chart (Scholastic, DRA, Lexile)

Quizzes are available twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays!
The expectation is at least 10 points per week!
60 points for the Term is average!
The program runs for six weeks each Term.
See your child’s black duotang!!!!
Your teacher expects you to earn at least 10 points per week.
You will need To Receive
80+ points Powerful
70, 75 points Strong
60, 65 points Good
50, 55 points ok
40, 45 points Fair
30, 35 points Emerging
FINAL REPORT CARD GRADE IS BASED ON
- how many points you earned
- how hard the novels were that you chose to read
- how many wrong answers you got on the quizzes
- how regularly you read (steady pace or last minute cramming?)
Independent Novel Reading Times are:
Term 1: October and November
Term 2: January and February
Term 3: April and May
