No homework?

Does your child tell you that they have no homework?

Regular homework (Monday to Friday) is:

  1. Independent novel reading (20-30 minutes per day).  Quizzes are available Tuesdays and Thursdays.  This occurs for 7 weeks each term.  Students are given a list of more than 200 great novels ranging from grades 3 to high school.  The info is in their black duotang!
  2. Ensure daily math practice is completed daily (see blue sheets/ a.k.a. MATHLETICS). Due date is end of Math class on Friday. Student must consult with teacher to get credit for it.
  3. Ensure daily WRITE RIGHT (writing practice) is completed and submitted every Friday.  A class monitor will check it and update the homework chart.
  4. Memorize and practice your multiplication table.
Many students are able to complete #2 during class time.

Do you know that lessons stop at 2:50 p.m. to allow your child time to record assignments and due dates into their Planner?

How can you check if your child has homework?

  1. Ask to see their Planner!
  2. Check this website for Homework Due.
  3. Sign up for the Remind app on your cellphone so I can send you a text to notify you when your child’s assignment is really late.
