Just a message to let you know that the daily development of our Chicks is all caught up on the blog. You can find it under the heading “21 Days of Chicks” this is just under the top picture. Thanks for being patient! Lots has been happening to our chick embryos. They have been changing daily since Friday’s post. Our Chicks have been busy over the Easter Weekend developing their beak, digits, comb and feathers. Take a look! We will be posting the daily development now that we have our blog up and running. There will be a post here on the home page and then it will also be updated under the “21 Days of Chicks” heading.
Day 9: Today our chick will begin to open its mouth
Every day the temperature inside the incubator needs to be checked (usually I check it a few times a day. ) The temperature needs to be at 99 degrees Fahrenheit and this morning it was at 95 degrees Fahrenheit, so I needed to increase the temperature.
Had to turn the metal piece to increase temperature.
