Dragon Boating Reflection

Hey guys I’m here to talk to you about when me and my class went dragon boating.  We were split into two boats, but at the end we joined to one. The first time we dragon boated before that we walked  around the area, observed wildlife and nature, and had a picnic lunch. When we went dragon boating they got us life jackets and paddles. They taught us how  to hold the paddle and how to use it. When we got on the water we were  amazed at how far we went in such a short amount of time.  The next session we raced, and on the last session we combined into one boat and paddled together. We walked from school to dragon boating every time. It  was so fun!

Maestro Tovey Reflection

Listening to & watching Maestro Tovey reminded me how much I love music & why.

It helped me realize how amazing it was to feel how it was to have a very famous person speak to us.

Music is a huge part of my life and it help me with my emotions and stress levels.

How I’m feeling affects the kind of music I listen to.

When I’m sad I listen to happy music to cheer me up.

Music is a way of communicating how you feel.

Music is inspiring.

Music is fun

Music is madness.

Music helps me show who I am and it lets me express myself.

VSO

Today I will be sharing my reflection VSO and masquerade party.

So, Elizabeth came and taught some stuff about Mozart, [where he died, where he lived, and more.] She also played the bassoon, and she played a piece that Mozart made. It was very unique and special.

The day of the masquerade, everyone was dressed fancy. The girls were wearing dresses and the boys were wearing tuxedos. So after all the preparing and all the practice, it was the big day! Parents came, and it started. Oh, opps, I forgot to mention that we made masks. It was very fun, we got to put glitter and feathers on the mask. I got to help clean up. [Sweeping, since they’re was so much glitter on the floor.] Ok, so it started, we started to dance. After we played recorder, and in the end we got to eat cake! Chocolate and Vanilla. So that’s the end. Bye!

Beedie group field trip!

Today I will be sharing with you, my Beedie group reflection.

So, it all starts on April, 27,2016. At 10:00 in the morning, we went on the school bus and we headed off to see some construction sites that the Beedie group were working on. They have built 960 something buildings, with 10 in construction and 30 in planning. The total of all those buildings built is 1000. After looking at 2 construction sites, we went to the all the offices, and they gave us a tour of everything in the building. We got to be in different teams, and with a different leader. Our team was named Team dope!! Kenny talked to us about how buildings are made. He told us that he wears a hard hat and a vest when he does construction….and the next I know, Kenny says we can win a white hard hat, just like his. He asks to think of a number between 1 and 10. So the first person he picked on was Dorothy, and she picked 8…and the number was 8!!! So she got the white hard hat. Most people were upset and said it wasn’t fair. Me? I was kind of upset as well, but it didn’t bother me that much. After we had gone to everyone’s office, including Mr.Beedie’s office. Oh, I forgot to mention him. Mr. Beedie started the group 70 years ago. He is 90 years old, but he looks like he is 70. Mr.Beedie had a lot of cool things in his office, air planes he even had a golden hard hat! He has his own bathroom as well! Speaking of bathrooms all the bathrooms are really nice. Anyway, at lunch we got pizza and it was awesome!! I ate 3 slices. Plus they gave us juice. I drank 2 bottles of juice…and let me say, that was the best lunch I had in a million years. [Mom, if you reading this, I am very sorry!] At 1:30 it was time to go. On the way to the bus we got free Candy! I am never going to forget this field trip! It’s one of the best I’ve ever been on!

William Shakespeare

This blog is about my reflection on Bard. If you do not know what “Bard means William Shakespeare. If you don’t know who Bard is, he is a famous poet, who died 400 and something years ago.

Two people from Bard on the Beach, Jeff and Louisa, came and taught us some words Bard made. He made over 200 words, like the “Green eyed monster”, “Zany”, and way more! Louisa Wtalked about the play “Romeo and Juliet”, which we are going to soon.

So, anyway, Here are some the 5 questions I’m going to answer.

  1. What confirmed what you already knew,
  2. What was surprising
  3. What you enjoyed
  4. What you wonder about
  5. What you learned
  6. What I already knew was that Bard very well known man in this world. The plays he made were made about 400 something years ago. He wrote plays like “Romeo and Juliet”, “King Lear” and more!
  7. What was surprising is that I thought Bard on the beach wasn’t on the beach. I thought it was just a name.
  8. What I enjoyed was that Louisa, told the class some stuff about Romeo and Juliet, which was very awesome and cool!
  9. What I wonder about, is that why did Bard write all of these plays? Did he just want the $? Or did he want people to notice him? Or he just wanted to get famous?
  10. What I learned was some very different words, like “zany,” and “the green eyed monster.”

Well, that comes to the end of it, I hope you enjoyed my reflection on “Bard” Thank you for reading, and farewell, until next time!
