Beedie group reflection!

The Beedie group trip reminded me when I was little because I used watch how they built houses sometimes they do it to make the people happy. The Beedie place was nice it was really modern and I love modern places. Trip was really nice because I could see the workers working to build a house. The people there at Beedie group were really nice and it looked like they worked really hard.

Reflection: Beedie Group Field Trip

I am very grateful that the Beedie Group showed us what they do and gave us a tour around their office!!

They divided us into groups and at one point, one of the workers there said that whoever answers this question correctly and most quickly will win a prize. The question was “What is an important thing that workers [the people who build houses, etc.] should wear?”, the people who answered this correctly and quickly got a “hard hat” as a prize.

I really liked seeing the miniature models of buildings. (How cute!)

We got to see a building in progress (from inside the bus)!! Andrew, a worker from the Beedie Group, showed us big piles of sand called preloads. The preloads were used to compress the soil. We also got to see a bunch of workers lift a concrete wall using a crane. It was very cool!!

It was also an honour meeting Mr. Beedie, the founder of the Beedie group. We got to see his office (which had lots of models of planes, a treadmill and a TV).

I think it was very generous of the Beedie group to give us a free pizza lunch!! Thank you! I appreciate you guys for that!!

Beedie Group Reflection

Going to the Beedie group field trip was really fun! When meeting Mr. Beedie I was super honoured to meet him, when looking at the construction sites I was looking at the pre-load and how much they had for the land and how when you look at the pre-load you can see layers and layers of wet sand and try sand it’s just so cool and when we were gave a tour around the Beedie development group building there was a some-what trivia! And the question was pick a number between 1-10 and I chose 8 because that’s my lucky and favourite number so then I was the first one picked so I was like “hmm 8?” and (I don’t remember his name) said something like “Give lucky #8 her hard hat!” I was shocked so was everyone else! He gave a reason on why he picked the number 8 because there were 7 of us so he went one number up! And after that we went around the building then we went to meet Mr. Beedie! When we walked in I noticed a little plaque on his desk it read “Rules #1:The Boss is Always Right #2 If the Boss is not Right Please see Rule #1”  it was really funny, after we talked to Mr. Beedie, they provided pizza for us!

Our Trip to the Beedie Group!!!

First of all when we got there they gave as a tour and then they grouped us and my team was team Dope. And then we went to win a prize THE HARD HAT!!! so then we had to pick a number from 1 to 10 and my friend Drothy won the hard hat so she was so so lucky!!!!!

And when we went down me and my friend Candy saw a big big dog and it sceamed at us so me and my team Dope went down and e and my class mates had a pizza party!!!!

And i think the rules are really funny

RULE 1 THE BOSS IS ALWAYS RIGHT

RULE 2 IF THE BOSS IS WRONG LOOK AT RULE NUMBER 1

Beedie group field trip!

Today I will be sharing with you, my Beedie group reflection.

So, it all starts on April, 27,2016. At 10:00 in the morning, we went on the school bus and we headed off to see some construction sites that the Beedie group were working on. They have built 960 something buildings, with 10 in construction and 30 in planning. The total of all those buildings built is 1000. After looking at 2 construction sites, we went to the all the offices, and they gave us a tour of everything in the building. We got to be in different teams, and with a different leader. Our team was named Team dope!! Kenny talked to us about how buildings are made. He told us that he wears a hard hat and a vest when he does construction….and the next I know, Kenny says we can win a white hard hat, just like his. He asks to think of a number between 1 and 10. So the first person he picked on was Dorothy, and she picked 8…and the number was 8!!! So she got the white hard hat. Most people were upset and said it wasn’t fair. Me? I was kind of upset as well, but it didn’t bother me that much. After we had gone to everyone’s office, including Mr.Beedie’s office. Oh, I forgot to mention him. Mr. Beedie started the group 70 years ago. He is 90 years old, but he looks like he is 70. Mr.Beedie had a lot of cool things in his office, air planes he even had a golden hard hat! He has his own bathroom as well! Speaking of bathrooms all the bathrooms are really nice. Anyway, at lunch we got pizza and it was awesome!! I ate 3 slices. Plus they gave us juice. I drank 2 bottles of juice…and let me say, that was the best lunch I had in a million years. [Mom, if you reading this, I am very sorry!] At 1:30 it was time to go. On the way to the bus we got free Candy! I am never going to forget this field trip! It’s one of the best I’ve ever been on!
