Telephone Cups

We started learning about sound in science. We have started conversations about sound  waves and how they travel. The telephone cups were a perfect way for the children to investigate sound. What happens when the string is tight? loose? Why do telephone cups work? What is vibrating?

This activity was so much fun! I have never made telephone cups before and I was amazed how well it worked.
