We have lots of creative minds in our class. Today we had 3 different kinds of stores that sold anything from food to pets to books.We had some friend working together to build a giant tower and we also had some friends making a list of goals they would like to work on.
It is wonderful to see and hear how children use their creative and critical thinking during explorations. I cannot wait to see how they extend their thinking tomorrow!
Today we combined math with physical activity!
We had lots of fun playing a math board game where we had to add numbers together to see how many exercises we needed try.
Lots of fun working with the leadership students at Burnaby Mountain Secondary School, we hope to see them again.
I have also included pictures from a couple weeks ago when they came to Stoney Creek. Sorry I have a couple videos but I am still learning how to upload them.
We were luck to have Mrs. Coutts come in to do hour of code with us. She lead some fun activities to help us understand what coding is. This was our first time as a class using the iPads, we had some laughter and some tears but in the end we were all smiling.
Sometimes we just want to drink hot chocolate and spend time with friends!
We had a great time creating the Northern Lights with our big buddies! We used chalk to make the snow and the lights and some big and little buddies used charcoal to create shadows of trees and buildings. They look amazing!
Story workshop is a time to demonstrate our creativity. This was the first time I have put out multiple stations for the students to choose how they would like to tell their story. Paint, writing, drawing and building are all forms of story telling we are exploring together as a class!
We are getting ready for the Winter Concert. This photo demonstrates how hard everyone is working to make a magical show for ourselves, our friends, and our families.
