We have had a terrific start to our year.  We have a class that has both grade 2’s and grade 3’s.  We also have two teachers.  Mrs. Wong Reindhardt on Mondays and Tuesdays and me (Mrs. Cramb) on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.  

We have spent the first couple of weeks getting to know each other and our classroom.  We have learned lots of interesting things about our students.  They are all very friendly, helpful and love to learn. This week we started an art project in the style of Todd Parr. We are  learning that its Ok to be different!

 

We have also been learning how to be great scientists, focusing on the power of observation and recording of what we see. We were even able to borrow loupes  from the school district’s library to look at things up close!  The loupe magnifies and makes it easier to see the tiny details in what you are looking at.  Jewellers often use these to look at gems.
