Hello Coro Voce Members!

 

It’s been an exciting few months since our last concert.  Ms. Speakman has had her retirement party and Ms. Pritchard is now a grandmom to a beautiful baby boy!  Congratulations to all!

We now welcome onboard next September:

Ms. Patti Fletcher as co-director!

Ms. Bonnie Ishii as accompanist!

Ms. Sheila Little as co-manager!

Ms. Minichiello and I are grateful to our Burnaby colleagues for sharing their love of singing and expertise with us!

Our new rehearsal site for next year is SOUTH SLOPE ELEMENTARY.  4446 Watling St.  In the music room 201.

Rather than assume you’re returning, we’re asking that you send an email to Mrs. Fierro (Jukich) if you ARE returning!

Happy Easter Weekend Everyone!  After a wonderful concert on Wednesday evening, and a very inspiring Tour day Thursday, I’m sure you were ready for a break!

Our final rehearsal is this Thursday from 3:30 to 5:15.  Parents are invited to stay! Here is the shape of the time:

3:30 – warm up in the music room.

4:00 –  performance in the multi purpose area of Moscrop.

4:30 – cookies and juice reception for choir and parents.

Some parents have asked if they can bring some sweets to share.  Please email me if you are bringing some treats so I don’t buy too much! And, nut-free treats are best.

Dear CoroVoce Parents!

We need someone (or two) to hand out complimentary tickets for special guests and sell any remaining tickets we may have at the theatre on Wednesday. 

You will need to be at the theatre at 6:00 p.m., but we will give you the opportunity to save your seats beforehand!  What a deal!  Please reply to Mrs. Fierro asap!

We have quite a few members who have not handed in their consent form for the school tour next Thursday.  Please make sure you return the green form Wednesday at the concert, or Thursday morning before you board the bus! ( or we will be waving good-bye to you from the bus!)

Remember to pack a nut-free lunch and snack with your water bottle!  We will begin and end our tour at Cascades.  Please be in the music room  at Cascades by 8:30 a.m.  The tour will end with our performance at Cascades at 2:45 so you’re welcome to pick up then!

We are really looking forward to performing next week!

Your child will be bringing a hard copy of this letter home today from rehearsal!  Please make sure you read it through!  And consent forms for the tour date need to be brought to us by next Wednesday at our concert, or a scanned handwritten note sent to my email before next Thursday!

See you all at Kitchener, in the gym, on Tuesday, April 9 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.  After we rehearse with Picollini, we will work on our own repertoire in the music room.

Our last extended rehearsal is next Thursday, April 11 from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m.

The next week is the school tour on Thursday, April 18, so NO rehearsal that day.

Our final rehearsal is Thursday, April 25.  More exciting details to come!

Remember:

Return your consent form for the school tour next Thursday at rehearsal.

Hand out the yellow notices at your home school.

Bring your t-shirt next week ONLY if you need a change in size.  Otherwise, keep it safe and wear it to the concert on April 17! (and April 18!)

More details will be forthcoming regarding the concert  at MJF on April 17.   Stay tuned!

Welcome back everyone!  We hope Spring Break was fun and relaxing!

Here is some important information for the coming weeks. 

There will be an extended rehearsal on April 4 from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m.  Please stay if you can.  

We will be rehearsing with the children’s choir on Tuesday, April 9 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Kitchener School.

Our final rehearsal before the concert and our tour will also be extended to 6:00 p.m. ( April 11)

We will be touring on Thursday, April 18.  A consent form will be ready this Thursday and must be returned the following week.  Students will need to be at Cascades Elementary School by 8:15 a.m.

Yes!  It’s finally here!  Enjoy your Spring Break!  Rest, relax, read, and of course, practice your pieces!

See you Thursday, April 4 for another extended rehearsal.  (3:30 – 6:00 p.m.)

Tickets will still be available April 4 for our District Concert on April 17!  $5 a ticket.  Please send money in an unsealed envelope with your name on the front.

Save the Date!  April 9 will be a joint rehearsal at Kitchener School from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
