We continue to be delighted (and tricked!) by the creativity, fun word problems, and clever hiding places.
Do you know what a “red herring” is in mathematics?
~ A red herring refers to a term or number that is included to distract or mislead you from the important or relevant parts of a problem or situation. It has nothing to do with a coloured fish haha!
Many students have embraced this concept and have attempted to apply it to their word problems. These are really making us read the problems very carefully!
This week’s themes included: Flower Gardens, Hockey, Sumikkogurashi World, Dinosaurs, and a Sanrio Picnic!
